Oregon Health & Science University is nationally distinguished as a research university dedicated solely to advancing health sciences. As an integral member of our team approach to patient care, the Interventional Radiology/Angiography Technologist provides direct patient care using medical imaging techniques to help the Interventionalist in diagnosis and/or treatment; assists with radiographic procedures to demonstrate vascular and non-vascular structures for interpretation and/or therapeutic intervention; and ensures radiation safety for patients and team members involved in the procedure. Patient population varies from neonate to geriatric adding a unique aspect to the care provided in the unit. This position rotates between the dual locations of IR, which include the South Waterfront/CHH2, as well as the main OHSU Hospital building with call requirements. Full- and part-time positions are available.
Valid Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist license issued by the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging
One year of experience in the operation of radiologic equipment or an equivalent combination of specialized training and experience
Ability to apply and maintain manual pressure to femoral arterial and venous access sites
3+ years of experience as an IR technologist supporting complex body and neuro interventional radiology procedures
Cardiac Interventional and Vascular Interventional certification from ASRT
