The Clinical Order Set Analyst is instrumental in the design, development, and implementation of the physician related components of evidence-based order sets, physician order entry, and physician documentation within the core clinical information systems, following a standardized format that supports efficient order transcription and entry, quality of care, patient safety, and reimbursement efforts. Secondarily, the Clinical Order Set Analyst serves as liaison between clinical operations, Information Services, our system users, and vendors. The role is responsible for the design of order sets and other clinical applications, documentation and testing during implementations, on-going application support, as well as post Go-Live support; conducting reviews of order sets, CPOE, and electronic documentation, analyzing problems and processes and making recommendations to improve compliance and accuracy; training end users; and other duties as assigned. The role works closely with a wide variety of groups across the health care system including medical and non-medical staff to build, test, document, facilitate training, and maintain a standardized clinical information system.
-Associate or Diploma degree from an accredited Registered Nurse program
-Computer related course work preferred
-4 years of clinical experience
-Experience with Meditech Client/Server implementation, maintenance, and support functions preferred
-Current Kansas registered nurse license
