Leads and guides the work of all laboratory assistant staff. Performs the duties of a laboratory assistant, including collecting blood and urine. Evaluates performance of laboratory assistant staff and makes recommendations for personnel action.
3-5 years phlebotomy experience; 2 years supervisory experience
Knowledge of general laboratory procedures
Competent computer skills
Knowledge of laboratory and medical terminology; thorough understanding of phlebotomy's relationship to the laboratory department, the physician and the clinic.
