Dartmouth-Hitchcock is seeking a Manager for our Cardiac Catheterization and Electrophysiology Laboratories. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced manager to collaborate with the Director to lead the daily operations of invasive cardiology laboratories at a prestigious Academic Medical Center. This manager will be responsible for resource and financial management and will work collaboratively with physicians, clinical teams and staff members to ensure safe, cost effective and the highest quality patient care and service.
Supervises and collaborates with personnel in the invasive laboratories.
Interviews, hires, counsels, evaluates, trains, develops, and schedules staff.
Monitors staff productivity and ensures quality assurance standards are met.
Ensures staff are fully oriented and trained to perform their roles and provide ongoing opportunities for learning and job enhancement.
Participates in the development of the annual budget for the cardiology invasive laboratories.
Ensures Joint Commission, OSHA, Medicare, radiation safety, licensing and other regulatory requirements are met in the laboratories.
Develops and manages systems for billing, inventory management, scheduling, budget adherence and managerial and clinical reporting.
Participates fully in the decisions regarding acquisition, replacement, and maintenance of major equipment.
May perform functions of invasive laboratory nursing and/or technical staff if appropriate.
Bachelor’s degree in related health care discipline (Nursing, Business, or Health Care Management) and 5+ years of experience in supervision and/or management of Cardiac Catheterization and/or Electrophysiology Labs required.
Master’s degree preferred.
Excellent interpersonal and management skills required.
Required Licensure/Certification Skills:
For RNs: Eligible or Licensed Registered Nurse in New Hampshire required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) or higher per unit specific requirements.
