The producer is responsible for creating brand journalism content in support of Geisinger’s strategic marketing and communications priorities.As an integral member of the content team, the producer will support the newsroom manager in generating story ideas, coordinating and facilitating interviews, working with the videographer to edit video story packages, source graphics and other elements for video packages. The job is a combination of reporter, editor, and producer for video, print and audio content.The multimedia content producer may also support the newsroom manager in creating unique programming for Geisinger’s digital and social media channels.Will include on-camera work as a reporter or anchor as well as audio work for podcasts and writing for web content.

The multimedia content producer needs to be a strong and very fast writer and have solid news judgment.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
BA or BS with focus on journalism, public relations or communications required. Master’s degree a plus.
Three plus years demonstrated experience as a working journalist, especially in broadcasting.
Experience in writing, storytelling, editing and crafting content for a wide range of news media outlets, including broadcast, print, social and digital; excellent editing and proofreading skills.

Work is typically performed in an office environment. Independent travel to other sites throughout the health system and surrounding communities required.
