The Health System Administrator/Chief Executive Office (CEO) has final responsibility to the Hospital Board of Directors, to provide leadership, direction, and administration of all aspects of Health System operations in order to achieve the Health System’s mission and objectives. Under the direction of the Board of Directors, the Administrator is responsible for all activities associated with organizing, planning, managing, evaluating, and implementing adequate health care services for the purposes of which the Health System was founded. The Administrator delegates portions of his/her responsibilities consistent with sound operations and authorized policies and procedures. The Administrator serves as the Health System’s principal representative to the medical staff, the community, and other groups external to the operation of the Health System.
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s degree with emphasis on Healthcare Administration preferred
Master’s degree in Hospital Administration, Public Health, Business Administration, or Management preferred
Minimum of five (5) years of senior leadership experience as a CEO, COO, CFO, or similar role to include working closely with Physicians
Three (3) to five (5) years healthcare management experience highly preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated a passion for community based hospital medicine
Proven team and community relations building skills
