The Central Sterile Processing Manager, in collaboration with and direction from the Senior Director of Perioperative Services, is responsible for the management of day-to-day operation of the Sterile Processing Department (SPD). The Manager has overall responsibility for hospital utilization performance improvement and operational management of the Sterile Processing Department in order to promote effective utilization of hospital resources, ensure processes support appropriate patient care services rendered, support efficient patient throughput, and ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations related to Sterile Processing Services including Joint Commission, AAMI, AORN, and OSHA guidelines. The Manager reports to the Senior Director of Perioperative Services.
This position will have responsibility for FUH and LMH campuses.
QUALIFICATIONS - EDUCATION
1. Bachelor degree, preferred.
2. CRCST Certification and annual renewal
QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE
A minimum of two years progressively more responsible experience in operating room setting or similar positioned to include practical experience in aseptic technique, instrumentation, surgical procedures, sterile processing and materials management.
Supervisory experience in sterile processing environment required.
Computer experience required.
