Legal Department Systems Manager for the Legal Department supports and contributes to the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of the Department technology. Responsible for day-to-day administrative aspects of the systems such as administrative backups, maintaining and monitoring performance; security error processing, workflow, and testing. Responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of system software and related infrastructure creating project environments, and administering user access. Works with users to define and document requirements, write user documentation, apply system configuration changes, and test the application.
Skilled in translating business functional requirements into technical requirements. Establish and maintain security groups and categories; manages user accounts and security contexts. May conduct security reviews for audit reports (i.e., ICE, EMR, Internal Audit, etc.) and provides final reports and stop gap measures to ensure system security is maintained. Collaborates with management to assess and recommend functional enhancements, technical budgets, participate in planning and implementation of future needs.
May work on multiple projects at one time, stressing a customer-focused approach that includes consistent and timely communication. Works closely with Specialty Team leads, project managers, and end users to identify and propose solutions and strategies that optimize system applications, functions, and data management. Demonstrates flexibility by changing work roles as needed.

Compensation Detail Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum salary every 2 weeks is approx $2644, based on a full-time position.

Required Skills: Qualifications Bachelor's degree with 5 years of relevant experience is required; prefer degree in related field (i.e., Information technology, Information Management Systems). Demonstrated knowledge and experience with business intelligence and/or business systems, tools and applications required. Experience with Project Portfolio Management (PPM) system design principles. Software development methodologies, and computer programming preferred.
Additional qualifications Experience working in legal technology preferred. Exposure to managing both custom developed and vendor-supplied applications preferred.
Understanding of project management and business processes; able to work independently, balancing multiple projects. Requires excellent verbal and written communications skills, and the ability to work in a complex environment with multi-dimensional points of view. Must be comfortable with ambiguity. Ability to work effectively in a consensus-style operation that expects and promotes teamwork. Must possess the ability to inspire trust and confidence, and communicate effectively with internal and external audiences. Must be a self-motivated, self-directed and a highly organized individual who will promote a productive, collegial workplace and be a professional ambassador for Mayo Clinic.
