WakeMed is Hiring a Medical Lab Scientist Specializing in Pathology and Transfusion to Join Our Raleigh Campus!
The Medical Lab Scientist I/II is responsible for performing routine and specialized laboratory tests and other procedures for use in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases. This role will utilize requisite equipment, instruments, and computer systems, and will evaluate and report patient results using considerable independent judgment within the scope of established testing methods. The Medical Lab Scientist will also be responsible for training new employees and/or students in the theoretical and operational aspects of procedures and serves as a resource for less experienced staff. This is a full-time position working rotating nights in the Pathology Lab department.

2 Years Clinical Laboratory Experience
Moderate and High Complexity Testing Required
Bachelor’s Degree Clinical Laboratory Science Or Medical Technology Required Or Associate’s Degree Medical Laboratory Technology Or Bachelor’s Degree Related Field Required
American Society for Clinical Pathology Or National Credentialing Agency for Laboratory Personnel Certification Required
Hours of Work: Rotating Monday-Thursday and Tuesday-Friday, 9:30pm-7:30am
Weekend Requirements: As Needed
