The Medical Laboratory Scientist is responsible for obtaining or receiving specimens, performing clinical laboratory tests by standardized procedures, understanding method principles, performing quality control, performing preventive maintenance, and interpreting results accurately, acceptably and within critical limits. The MLS works independently, organizing work to meet established deadlines and validates all data obtained.

The Infection Preventionist (IP) helps to prevent healthcare associated infections by isolating sources of infections and limiting their spread. The IP is responsible for surveillance, rounding, analyzing, interpreting and the reporting of healthcare associated infections. The IP supports the development of evidence-based organizational infection prevention policies/standards that meet state, federal, regulatory and accrediting agencies standards. The IP trains healthcare members in infection prevention. The IP is a leader in infection prevention and serves as a resource, educator, researcher and proponent of change in order to influence infection prevention improvement to provide quality health care within the organization. The IP reports to the Director of Quality and Risk. The Manager of Employee Health is responsible for the leadership of Employee Health Services. This includes but is not limited to ensuring that appropriate screenings, testing, vaccinations, education, and work related examinations are completed in accordance with the standards set forth by OSHA, TJC, applicable federal and state regulations and the policies and procedures of the organization.
Medical Lab Scientist requirements and qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree: Baccalaureate Degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Laboratory Science or related science (Required)
Minimum of 1 year of experience
Certification and Licensure Requirements. MLS (ASCP) (Preferred)
Manager of Infection Prevention and Employee Health requirements and qualifications:
4 year/Bachelor's Degree
2 years Relevant Experience required
PA Registered Nurse License
CIC Certified Infection Control within one year
