Description The Chief Operating Officer is the top level operational leader within the facility, provides direction and is accountable for the designated areas of responsibility within the ministry, to include acute and non-acute activities. He/she is responsible for the operational outcomes and also accountable for any facility planning and construction to accommodate the ministry needs. The COO is accountable for promoting the CHRISTUS Health mission, core values and vision and for operational effectiveness and quality of care and service provided by the ministry. In addition, the COO is responsible for Associate, medical staff, and community relations and ensures that the services provided are responsive to the community's health needs and integral to the achievement of the CHRISTUS Health mission and vision. This COO is responsible for positive relationships and effective communications with executives, directors, Associates, medical staff, sisters, community representatives and board members as appropriate. The COO develops plans to implement care and services based on community needs and consistent with the CHIRSUTS Spohn Health System (CHS) strategic plan. This position has direct responsibility for Service Excellence Direction inclusive of the satisfaction of all constituencies and the engagement of Medical Staff, Associates and the Community Benefit both in providing services to the underserved and initiatives that provide benefit to the community.
