The Research Assistant I performs a primary research role in Research. Performs consenting for disease specific registries, as well as data collection, data entry, and data analysis under the direction of the study Principle Investigator. Assist in the preparation of manuscripts. Maintains both handwritten and computerized records of work performed.Job Description Nemours is looking for a full-time Clinical Research Assistant I position. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating, implementing and completing clinical research studies by conducting IRB approved protocols, recruiting participants, obtaining informed consent/assent, collecting data, maintaining tracking records, performing analyses, and assisting in abstract/manuscript preparation. REQUIREMENTS Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in a health-related science and a minimum of 2 full-years (4000 hours) of clinical research experience. Proficiency with Microsoft computer software is required. Essential Functions 2. Assists in protocol preparation; prepares documents as required by sponsoring agencies; develops source documents; develops consent and assent documents; prepares IRB memoranda. 4. In-services clinical staff for study purposes. 5. Recruits patients. 6. Develops strategies to assure study subject compliance with protocol requirements. 7. Coordinates protocol activities; prepares clinical specimens for shipment to central laboratories. 8. Performs clinical data gathering and measurements. 9. Maintains study databases; assists in data analysis and manuscript / abstract preparation.
