The purpose of this job is to serve our members, key partners, customers and co-workers.
Provides management, leadership, and coordination for a wide variety of strategic, organizational, and operational initiatives, across the division of professional development and other divisions of ACHE.
Liaison to External Key Communities 70% of Time
Manages collaborative work between ACHE and external key partners, communities, and/or learning collaboratives, including, but not limited to, IHI, ASA, AAPA, ASHP, OSHA, APTA, ASHA, ACLC, State Hospital Associations, ACHE Association Committee, ACHE Physician Executive Committee and Forum .
Seeks opportunities to collaborate with external organizations and optimize opportunities across services within an external organization.
Act as project manager to assure ACHE and partnered work products are executed on in a timely and complete fashion.
Project Management of Specific Leadership Imperative 20% of Time
Works in conjunction with senior leader to determine project objectives.
Establishes measurable outcomes for project objectives and maintains project outcome dashboard.
Identifies opportunities, plans and organizes resources, facilitates and monitors status and completion of project objectives.
Responsible for achieving agreed upon deliverables, within budget and established timelines, and successful completion of project outcome, targeted goals and objectives.
Provides project status updates through the coordination and preparation of detailed reports to key project stakeholders, management and executive leadership.
Develops effective relationships and partnerships with various key stakeholders (both internally and externally), management, executive leadership and multi-functional work teams by providing direction, assistance and coordinating and synchronizing efforts.
Administrative Activities 10% of Time
Complete special projects as assigned by the President/CEO or other member of the senior leadership team.
Master’s degree prepared in the field of healthcare management (MHSA, MHA, MPH, etc.) required.
Minimum of one (1) year of experience working in a similar role with demonstrated working knowledge of the principles and practices of healthcare management, preferably in a healthcare association environment.
Minimum of one (1) year of project management experience managing multiple cross-functional projects or an equivalent combination of education and health care analytical experience.
Ability to prioritize, multi-task and follow-through on tasks under frequently changing structures, requirements and work priorities.
Strong project leadership, organization, integration and execution skills.
Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills to initiate and develop productive working partnerships with key stakeholders, management and leadership enterprise wide.
Excellent oral and written communication, presentation, negotiation and conflict management skills.
Ability to give oral presentations confidently to large and small audiences.
Experience representing an organization at an off-site location independently, including arranging travel, booth/display and supporting on-site Faculty
Ability to facilitate communication between diverse groups; effectively identify, assess and facilitate improvements and resolutions and present recommendations to all levels of management and leadership.
Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative and team environment.
Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced skills in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Competent in Baldrige concepts, techniques and outcomes.
Must possess sound judgment, discretion and a high degree of professionalism.
Must have the ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding organization and personnel information.
Ability to travel to support the project work, strategic initiatives and needs of the senior leaders.
Must have regular and predictable attendance.
Ability to make decisions and respond quickly to situations influencing decision-making.
