Make Improvements in the Diagnosis and Treatment of Diseases as a Medical Lab Scientist II, Pathology, Transfusion Svc
As a Medical Lab Scientist II, you will be responsible for performing routine and specialized laboratory tests and other procedures for use in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases. Responsibilities include:
Utilizing requisite equipment, instruments, and computer systems.
Evaluating and reporting patient results using considerable independent judgment within the scope of established testing methods.
Assisting in the development and implementation of new procedures, instrumentation, etc.
May assume responsibility for one or more laboratory projects or functions such as performance improvement, safety, quality control, regulatory, administrative, staff development, computer systems.
Training new employees and/or students in the theoretical and operational aspects of procedures.

At least one of the below is required:
Associate’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology
Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science
Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology
Bachelor’s Degree in Related Field with Required Licensure/Certification and with Equivalent Experience
2 Years of Clinical Laboratory Experience – Moderate and High Complexity Testing Required
Or Equivalent Education Requirement
Either of the below is required
American Society for Clinical Pathology Certification
National Credentialing Agency for Laboratory Personnel Certification
