Performs all duties of a Lab Assistant. In addition, procures an above average number of patient specimens, instructs phlebotomy/office trainees, inventories and maintains, phlebotomy and office supplies, and exhibits above average initiative and cooperation. Efficiently performs computer functions assigned to a Lab Assistant security level; competently performs downtime procedures. Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Required: High School Graduate or GED Certificate, and Certification from one of the following: ASCPT, NCAP, or Hospital School of Phlebotomy certificate.
Required: Minimum of 6 months phlebotomy experience or formal training Preferred: 1 yr experience
