| Position Summary:
This position requires the fullunderstanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of SaddlebackMedical Center. The employee shall support Saddleback Medical Center'sstrategic plan and participate in and advocate performance improvement/patientsafety activities. TheMonitor Technician (MT) is responsible for monitoring/interpretation of cardiacrhythm monitored patients and for coordinating communication activities betweencaregivers, departments, patients, and visitors. The MT is accountable for accurate maintenanceof the patient's paper medical record. Assists health care providers in the function of order entry, and navigatingthe patient's electronic healthcare record in accordance with position securitylevel. The MT also assists Patient FlowCoordinator/House Supervisors/Charge Nurse in the coordination of patientadmission, transfer, and discharge activities. The MT will also assist in patientadmission, transfer, discharge flow processes, and for providing the most basicof patient care including data collection, personal hygiene, and assistancewith activities of daily living. The MT understands and supports theorganization's Strategic Plan, Lean Initiatives for Continuous PerformanceImprovement, Patient Safety, and Patient Centered Care.
