The Medical Technologist performs moderate to complex laboratoryanalyses to contribute to the delivery of quality patient care, and ensuresquality control procedures are followed and equipment functions properly. Inaddition the Medical Technologist is responsible for: Recognizesand takes action on abnormal results and documents notification of appropriatestaff Demonstratesacceptable venipuncture success rates Demonstratesmanual data entry skills with a low error rate Isknowledgeable of proper specimen collection, processing and handling techniques Performsrouting calibration and preventative maintenance on instruments and equipment Helpsmaintain adequate stock of supplies The ideal Medical Technologistcandidate will possess excellent communication skills, and the ability to workin a fast paced environment.
