Phlebotomist - PRN

Summary:

The Phlebotomist is a vital part of an interdisciplinary team and preforms various medical and clerical tasks. Responsibilities include obtaining blood and non-blood specimens for laboratory testing, preforming and screening a variety of tests and reporting results, labeling and verifying specimens, and logging specimens. A successful candidate will also deliver excellent patient service, answer patient questions, act as a resource for patient information and strengthen the relationship between the patient and our entire medical facility. The Phlebotomist will also provide proper ordering and receiving with in house lab and all reference accounts, keep up with supplies and specimen storage containers, and provide technologists up to date with proper handling of specimens prior to shipping.

Requirements:

• Current Louisiana or National Phlebotomist Certification
