Manager Risk Management

Summary:

Responsible for identifying, analyzing, planning, and controlling risks that are inherent to the operations of various facilities within the CHRISTUS Southeast Texas Region. Formulates, implements and evaluates risk management strategies to efficiently and cost-effectively manage risks. Assists with incident investigation of patient and non-patient events and participates in patient safety initiatives in accordance with organizational, regulatory and accreditation requirements. Educates, advises and counsels new hires and general staff on risk assessment and loss prevention. Completes the hospital's yearly insurance renewal. 

Requirements:

• Advanced degree in health related field desirable. Bachelor's degree with appropriate prerequisite knowledge, experience and skills considered. 
• Minimum five years' experience in a patient care setting. Experience in a legal setting with experience in insurance and claims management. Supervisory experience preferred. 
• Licensed RN in the State of Texas 
• CPR preferred but not required.
