Cytology & Molecular Laboratory Manager

Required Qualifications:

• Candidate must have experience with cytology and/or molecular microbiology preferably in Women's Health
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Effective data trending, document control and technical bench skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
• Strong problem solving, training, team building and mentoring abilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Masters or PhD preferred but minimally has a Bachelor's degree with emphasis in medical technology, chemical or biological science.
• Minimum of 5 years of laboratory experience to include at least 2 years of experience in managing a clinical pathology lab that included molecular microbiology
• California Cytology License or California CLS License is strongly preferred

Molecular Qualifications

CA licensed CLS specializing in molecular biology techniques, responsible for managing high-complexity CAP/CLIA certified Lab, performing and maintaining laboratory testing on patient samples, interpreting and reporting patient results, performing quality control and quality assurance procedures ad complying with all applicable local, state and federal laboratory requirements.

Cytology Qualifications

CA licensed Cytotechnologist with the skill and experience to evaluate gynecological and non-gynecological slides. Must possess skills to determine clinicopathologic correlations and to make accurate diagnoses according to State and federal requirements. Interpreting and reporting patient results, performing quality control and quality assurance procedures ad complying with all applicable local, state and federal laboratory requirements.
