Diagnostic Pathology Medical Group, Inc. (DPMG, Inc.) in East Sacramento, is seeking a full time Cytology & Molecular Laboratory Manager. This position will oversee the operation and general maintenance of CLIA/CAP certified Laboratory’s day to day management and requisition of laboratory materials and supplies, organization and maintenance of reagent and lab equipment inventories and upkeep of the laboratory including space safety procedures/protocols. Responsibilities include reviewing test performance, monitoring and facilitating the daily workflow, preparing and submitting required reports to meet established deadlines and identifying future needs in terms of staff, equipment and facilities.

Candidate must have experience with cytology and/or molecular microbiology preferably in Women's Health
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Effective data trending, document control and technical bench skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
Strong problem solving, training, team building and mentoring abilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Masters or PhD preferred but minimally has a Bachelor's degree with emphasis in medical technology, chemical or biological science.
Minimum of 5 years of laboratory experience to include at least 2 years of experience in managing a clinical pathology lab that included molecular microbiology
California Cytology License or California CLS License is strongly preferred
CA licensed CLS specializing in molecular biology techniques, responsible for managing high-complexity CAP/CLIA certified Lab, performing and maintaining laboratory testing on patient samples, interpreting and reporting patient results, performing quality control and quality assurance procedures ad complying with all applicable local, state and federal laboratory requirements.
CA licensed Cytotechnologist with the skill and experience to evaluate gynecological and non-gynecological slides. Must possess skills to determine clinicopathologic correlations and to make accurate diagnoses according to State and federal requirements. Interpreting and reporting patient results, performing quality control and quality assurance procedures ad complying with all applicable local, state and federal laboratory requirements.
