| Summary Knowledge of physiological, psychosocial, and therapeutic components specific to the appropriate triage, and prioritizing of patients with real or potential life threatening conditions, presenting to the emergency department of care. Complies with the objectives and policies of the hospital, collaborating with the nursing and medical staff when performing techniques for the comfort and well being of the patient. Responsible for organized, systematic reception and of patients, ensuring that immediate care is available for the seriously ill or injured patient. Determines priorities confidently and directs patient flow in a stressful fast paced environment, while maintaining composure and courtesy to patients and families.

Qualifications:
QualificationsAn active EMT-P license
Current BLS Certification
One year experience as an Emergency Room Technician or EMT-P preferred
Ability to communicate in English
Able to function calmly in a fast paced, stressful environment
Ability to communicate with patients diagnosed with psychiatric disorders
Basic Computer skills required
