Ophthalmology Technicians support Ophthalmologists in diagnosis, treatment, prevention, follow-up care and patient counseling. Full performance Health Technicians perform a range of standard, but complex, diagnostic procedures, assist during clinic-based surgical procedures, educate patients and legal representatives, assist with the education of medical students and residents. May perform direct patient care services under the supervision of Ophthalmologists.
