LABORATORY MEDICAL TECHNOLOGIST

The Laboratory Medical Technologist obtains or receives specimens, performs clinical laboratory tests by standardized procedures, understands method principles, performs quality control, performs preventive maintenance, and interprets complex tests results as to accuracy acceptability and critical limits. Works independently, organizing work to meet established turn-around time standards, record all data obtained and maintains the job competence. This position also involves effective communication and interpersonal skills.
