Medical Technologist/Technician

We have multiple opportunities for talented and dedicated Medical Laboratory Technicians and Medical Technologists in our Automation, Acute Care (Generalists), Blood Bank, Microbiology, and Molecular Diagnostic Departments. Full-time and part-time positions are available on evening and night shift. Up to $10,000 sign-on bonuses available for applicable positions.

Day to Day as a Clinical Laboratory Professional, You Will:

1. Accurately performs any high complexity, moderate complexity or waived laboratory testing in the assigned testing division which may require the broad exercise of independent judgment to include the use of advanced clinical laboratory instrumentation and equipment according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures.

2. Recognizes and corrects instrument malfunctions within the scope of the operator’s manual and records troubleshooting activities.

3. Confirms, verifies and reports test results independently. Monitors results for reasonableness and critical values.

4. Correlates and interprets data generated from testing.

5. Assists physicians in the interpretation of test results within the scope of the profession.

6. Conducts established quality control and performance improvement activities.

7. Provides clinical orientation and/or training of new employees/students.

8. Prepares and/or collects specimens (blood, urine, feces or other body fluids) for analysis.

9. If qualified, (Technologist) performs the duties of CLIA general supervisor when the technical manager is not on site.

10. Participates in Continuous System Improvement (CSI) and continuing education programs.
