Full-Time Faculty-Clinical Laboratory Science (Open Rank-Instructor, Assistant, or Associate Prof)

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Minimum of a Master's degree. 
• Current generalist certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist, Clinical Laboratory Scientist, Medical Technologist or International Medical Laboratory Scientist (ASCPi-BOC). 
• Professional experience as a medical laboratory professional.
• Minimum of two years of teaching experience.
• Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 applications and online teaching.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong experience in curricular planning and assessment, as well as demonstrated use of High Impact Practices, technologies, and inclusive pedagogy to enhance student learning.  
• The ability to work effectively with a diverse student body, faculty, and staff. 
• Must submit to a background check (including a CORI/SORI) and drug screening as a condition of employment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Doctorate in related field preferred. 
• Degree in medical laboratory science, clinical laboratory science, or education.
• Minimum of three years of experience working as a generalist in a medical laboratory.
• College level teaching experience, preferably in medical/clinical laboratory science.
• Experience in community college teaching, advising, and curriculum development. 
• Demonstrated knowledge of current National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Science (NAACLS) accreditation and regulation policies and guidelines.  
• Demonstrated knowledge of Medical/Clinical Laboratory Science governance and regulatory policies and guidelines. 
• Knowledge of certification procedures. 
• Demonstrated versatility in teaching a range of courses offered in the Medical/Clinical Laboratory Science and Phlebotomy program. 
• Demonstrated proficiency with Blackboard, Banner, Argos, and/or DegreeWorks.
• Demonstrated experience working on committees and within teams. 
• Ability to speak a language in addition to English.
