Certified Surgical Tech (CST) PRN - OB
Role Summary:
The Certified Surgical Tech provides proper and efficient care of the patient in the operating room under the direct supervision of the circulating nurse. He/she knows sterile technique, understands basic anatomy and operative procedures. He/she also has knowledge of instruments and equipment used in the operating rooms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Certified Surgical Scrub Tech
- Sets up sterile field
- Passes instruments during procedure
- Assist OR staff as requested
- Adheres to practices and policies outlined to ensure patient safety and follows infection control standards
Department/Unit Summary:
The OB department at Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital has a total of 18 beds, which consist of 12 post-partum beds and 6 labor beds. Weekend and Holiday Rotation Schedule.
