Job DescriptionThe Engineering Analyst provides advanced analytical, clerical and management support to the engineering function. The incumbent proactively participates in capital authorization approval, slide deck generation and capital spend projections. Supports purchasing requests for the engineering function, providing support to Project Manager, and improvement to system workflow. Essential Functions
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Project Management Support o Support the Project Managers regarding follow up actions to assure construction projects are completed on time. o Draft and Issue reviewed documents; such as, Statements of Work, Purchase Requisitions, MSAâs, RFQâs, change orders in order to leverage efficiency of the Project Managers. o Draft, Edit and Issue specifications to assure consistency of our designs and equipment. Support the specification technical review process.
· Capital Funding Support o Support generation of slide deck presentations for capital approval. o Support generation of capital spend spreadsheets in support of capital projects. o Submit, Track, and follow up on approvals for Financial Asset Workflow Engine (FAWE). o Prompt, Assist and Track financial commitments versus forecast and versus the CIP amount in order to maintain accurate project financial reporting and forecasting.
· Presentation and documentation Support o Create presentations in support of engineering initiatives. o Prepare site status updates for presentation to the NCGB. o Maintain the new site Punch List records and contractor performance metrics.
Other duties as assigned. Education & Experience Requirements
Essential: Relevant work experience within Engineering and/or purchasing. · Minimum of three to five years professional experience required. · Experience in applying information systems solutions to business problems. · Experience in team facilitation and problem resolution. · Knowledge of PC-based office tools, such as Excel, Word, Access and Power Point. · Excellent written and oral communication skills. · Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision · Good planning and coordination skills. · Must be able to effectively interact and communicate with all levels of management and employees within the company. · Must be able to work within a team environment.
