The Birmingham VA Medical Center Birmingham Alabama is currently recruiting for one (1) Medical Instrument Technician (Vascular) Surgery Service. The major duties of the vascular lab technician include but are not limited to. 1. Performance of noninvasive vascular laboratory examinations to include: Ankle brachial indices, Segmental limb pressures, Carotid duplex ultrasound, Lower extremity arterial and venous ultrasound, abdominal ultrasound as well as others. 2. Perform examinations for inpatient as well as outpatient veterans 3. Maintain equipment within the vascular laboratory 4. Be present in the Vascular laboratory daily (40 hours/ week) 5. Assist other technicians in entering data for scanning into medical record 6. Active participant in performing exams during outpatient vascular surgery clinic 7. Collegial, team-oriented approach to duty completion 8. Longitudinal collaboration with other vascular technicians 9.
