Phlebotomist- PRN

Summary:

The lab assistant may be responsible for collection of blood specimens, receive and accession specimens and responsible for the distribution of specimens to the proper laboratory section. The lab assistant shall perform various section procedures according to established guidelines. The responsibilities of this lab assistant will be performed within all areas of the hospital. 

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required 
• Must successfully complete on the job-training program, including computer training during initial employment. 
• Prefer at least 8 hours of science credits from accredited university or college. 
• Prefer certification in phlebotomy from American Society of Clinical Pathologists or equivalent organization.
