Position Summary: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a FGP FGP Ultrasosund Tech-Dual Registry (RDCS+RVT), based in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn.
In this role, the successful candidate is responsible for performing, measuring and analyzing all aspects of cardiac ultrasound testing which includes M-mode two-dimensional, pulsed and continuous wave, color flow Doppler, transesophageal echocardiography (TEE), stress echocardiograms including pharmacological stress testing, 3D reconstruction, tissue Doppler, color M-mode, contrast echocardiography, vascular studies such as color flow Doppler and imaging of the renal arteries, carotid arteries, aortic stents, and pseudoaneuryums. Also responsible for performing all methods of vascular ultrasound testing which include Duplex Scanning, Arterial Doppler and Pulse Volume Recordings, Venous Doppler, or other types of studies. Job Responsibilities: - Provides for patient comfort and arranges equipment for procedures. Prepares equipment and supplies according to established departmental procedures. Interacts with patients by identifying self to patient and verifies the identity of the patient by checking the patient ID bracelet or verbal acknowledgement by patient. Explains the procedures and equipment to the patient clearly. Provide for patient privacy at all times.

- Write reports based upon completion of the scan. Documents the scans according to the departmental procedures. Enters, maintains, and records all pertinent patient data. Must use good judgment when determining if the procedure was sufficient for proper diagnoses.
- Usage of highly technical equipment to produce scans and conduct procedures. Maintains equipment. Uses advanced judgment when determining if the procedure was sufficient for proper diagnoses, or if additional imaging procedures are needed. Alerts the appropriate medical staff of abnormalities that require immediate attention. Compares present echocardiograms to previous studies to monitor changes in present status. Carries out assignments within a realistic time frame.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: To qualify you must have a Associate's Degree in a related field and completion of an accredited program in Ultrasound or equivalent combination of education and experience. Registered by the American Registry to Diagnostic Medical Sonographers for Cardiac and Vascular ultrasound (RDCS and RVT required). Certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation required. Must maintain active registry status. College graduate is preferred..
Required Licenses: Cardiovasculr Credentl Int_CCI, Am Rgtry Diagn Med Sonographer Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
