Behavioral Health Tech Per Diem Evenings

Summary

The Behavioral Health Tech provides care and comfort measures to patients in need of acute mental health care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse. Performs specific patient care as assigned and supervised by a Registered Nurse. The Behavioral Health Tech maintains clean and orderly patient care areas, equipment and supplies. Restocks inventories and supplies to keep supplies readily available. The Behavioral Health Tech may need to work beyond the regular tour of duty or in another patient care unit as assigned by department head or nursing supervisor.

Education:
Required: Minimum 60 hours of human services, psychology, education, sociology, or related field for this Behavioral Health Tech role

Experience:
Recent mental health care experience preferred

Certifications:
Required: Current BLS Certification
Effective oral and written communication skills in the English language
Visual and hearing senses must be adequate to detect changes in human physiological condition
Able to function calmly in a fast paced, stressful environment
Completion of a successful Florida Protective Services Background check
