The Health Technician (Telehealth Clinical) Advanced position is located with the Primary Care Service Line Clinics and Community Based Out-Patient Clinics (CBOCs). Telehealth is the use of technology to provide clinical care and patient education where distance separates the provider and the patient. This announcement is open and continuous and applicants will be reviewed bi-weekly for qualifications and potential referral. Major Duties of the Health Technician (Telehealth Clinical) Advanced The Advanced Telehealth Health Technician works under the direct supervision of the Primary Care Telehealth Nurse Manager and serves as imager for store and forward programs, telepresenter for clinical video telehealth encounters, and scheduler for telehealth appointments at clinical care delivery site. The incumbent provides high level support, training, and advanced management of telehealth operations for clinicians and telehealth staff members with duties that may require travel (VA Medical Center, Community Based Outpatient Clinic, VA Outreach Clinic, etc). The incumbent provides and evaluates technical and administrative telehealth operations, supports performance improvement efforts, provides technical support to end-users, schedules simple and complex intra-facility and inter-facility appointments using the Telehealth Management Platform system, installs/configures/maintains/troubleshoots telehealth technology, and provides a variety of program supports duties. Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm (determined by the needs of the Service)Clarification on the work schedule may be address on interview.
