He/she is a working supervisor with MRI duties. Incumbent works with the technologists, radiologists, clinicians and clerical staff to assure optimum quality control, efficient coordination of activities, high quality diagnostic exam results, and patient satisfaction. Incumbent requires specific knowledge of cross-sectional human anatomy and its application in MRI to include but not limited to General MRI exams, 3-D reconstruction scans, anesthesia assisted cases and Cardiac related exams. Major duties include but are limited to: will be the direct/ first line supervisor for GS-9 MRI Technologists will serve on the MRI Safety Committee, provides direct input to the MRI Safety Committee Chair and is a voting member MRI Safety Committee Makes formal requests and recommendations for promotions, reassignments, quality increases, and other performance awards. As well as appropriate disciplinary actions Incumbent performs continuing education to satisfy yearly/ bi-annual requirements for ARRT license and must be "in good standing" with the ARRT at all times. Incumbent always maintains their BLS certification. Participates with the Supervisory DRT in setting performance standards, goals, and objectives of assigned or supervised employees. Determines staffing requirements based on past, present and future workload patterns and develops the weekly/monthly schedules. Organizes staff work assignments, including lunch and break rotations. Recommends, coordinates and evaluates new or modified procedures/protocols with submittal and approval by the Chief of Radiology. Ensure that all technologists within the supervisory area are competent to perform procedures that are defined within the technologist scope of practice and follows policy and procedures set forth by the Chief of Radiology. Coordinates staff training, inventory, quality control, and workflow management. Responsible for all safety regulations/practices in MRI section. Ensures proper documentation of accidents occurring to employees, patients or visitors. Coordinates the repair and installation of MRI scan systems, injector systems and other essential equipment. Takes part in administrative call for Diagnostic Imaging. Work Schedule: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Monday - Friday Financial Disclosure Report: Not required
