Lead Medical Technologist (Hematology)
Serves as a Quality Control Coordinator in the Laboratory Service with responsibility for the development and maintenance of a quality assurance program for the Hematology Section. This includes proposing methods to be used, resolving problems, and coordinating and implementing the approved program. Ensures compliance with the Medical Center and external accrediting agencies quality assurance requirements. Performs a full range of laboratory procedures in the areas of hematology, coagulation. Duties include, but are not limited to: Responsible for ensuring timely performance of control validation and/or new lot reagent cross-over studies prior to consumption of current lot products. Reviews consensus standards establishing control limits that allow timely detection of performance problems
