Medical Technician
The incumbent is expected to work as a "floating" Medical Technician where needed and will regularly be responsible for the full range of laboratory work on evenings, nights, weekends, holidays and extended emergency periods (i.e. snow storms) to primarily support the 24/7 operations of the facility. The incumbent will typically function without on-site supervisory controls where a supervisor will be accessible by telephone to provide guidance. Operates as a "floating" Medical Laboratory Technician and fill in for all departments with the exception of Microbiology; Performs the full-range (moderate and high complexity) of laboratory work on any/all laboratory shifts; Independently performs a broad range of very difficult and highly complex tests and examinations which span all laboratory
