Phlebotomists are responsible for all phases of laboratory specimen handling, collection and processing as well as supplementary computer skills. Phlebotomists are responsible for helping to establish and maintain a rapport with patients and to provide a clear explanation of the process for performing venipunctures to help alleviate stress and anxiety associated with blood collection.
