The Application Analyst, under the supervision of the Application Production Support Manager, will provide technical support to the UCLA Health System’s Administrative Applications for Faculty Practice Group (FPG) and Medical Device Integration applications. In this role, you will perform application support, technical troubleshooting, maintenance, and optimization of existing software applications. In working towards achieving in-depth knowledge of the software application and operational workflows, as well as understanding the policies, procedures and constraints of the clinical and business operations supported by the application, you will work with business owners, vendors, and other team members to understand and document the user problems and project requests.
Applications Supported include but are not limited to: Philips Central Monitoring system (PIICiX), Philips IBE, DataMed, OBIX, Capsule, NurseCall and Administrative applications for FPG.
Bachelor’s Degree in health care information technology, computer science, or related area, and/or equivalent combination of experience/training
Experience with at least one of the following medical devices application configuration and clinic setup required - Philips/OBIX/Capsule
Knowledge of HL7 interfaces required
Experience in Window Servers required
Knowledge of SQL highly desired
Experience in analyzing and developing system workflow and business process flows
Proficient in MS Office Products (Outlook, Excel, and Word)
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Experience researching, organizing, analyzing, and synthesizing data to support effective decision making
