Leads through influence, committee, consultation, and formal authority to develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for Clinical Analytics across the health-system. Engages in projects to develop structural capability as well solving specific business problems.
Promotes the use of data and proprietary algorithms/analytics as a source of intrinsic competitive advantage by directly impacting efficiency/growth and accretive to the health-system’s brand through positioning the health system as a national leader in the application of Analytics.
Assesses, recruits, and mentor team members with high potential in Analytics to create a deep bench of expertise within these functions and develop baseline competence among health system leaders.
Responsible for P&L of a portfolio of Clinical Analytics that support AdventHealth in the growth of specialized clinical programs, Consumer-focused medicine, Risk-based Contracting/Population Health, and new-store growth in the footprint of health system location. Collaborates with clinical and market executives to expand portfolio of Clinical Analytics support as required by this growth.
Innovates, adopts, and adapts service offerings, budget, staffing, policies, and talent development for Clinical Analytics functions throughout the health-system based on research of cross-industry best practices, industry trends, and forecasting.
Develops, plans, and executes a full-stack data strategy in partnership with Information Technology (IT) to improve the accuracy, reliability, timeliness, and relevance of analytics for clinical operations.
Envisions, develops, and leads the strategy for benchmarking of AdventHealth Clinical and operational performance, including goal-setting and dissemination of best practices from relevant peers.
Provides direct supervision to Directors and other leaders for company-wide Clinical Analytics functions and the full organizational structure for these areas which include Business Analysts, Clinical Specialists, and Clinical Analysts. Provides indirect supervision and mentoring to other matrix reporting relationships as necessary.
What You Will Need:
Master’s degree: MBA, Data Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Nursing, or other relevant field and five to seven years’ experience in analytics or
Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Nursing, or other relevant field and seven or more years relevant experience in healthcare environment
5 years’ progressive leadership experience

Proficient computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office 365 suite, including collaboration and digital transformation tools (Teams, Power BI, Flow, PowerApps).
The Executive Director for Clinical Analytics leads a critical function that supports the goals of improving patient care and lowering cost across AdventHealth. This leader ensures robust Analytics support for the organization that aims to solve strategic and operational challenges as defined by leaders of Clinical programs and service-lines. Analysts working within this team are oriented to problem-solving over report-creation and equipped with advanced tools and privileged data access. The Executive Director supports the culture of continuous improvement and customer-focus, setting and meeting high expectations for both across AdventHealth. These teams work across all divisions of AdventHealth and include all settings of care as determined by support agreements. As AdventHealth is a Clinical enterprise, this leader must be able to collaborate, lead through influence, and take direct responsibility for Clinical initiatives. Ability to work fluently and forge strong relationships with Clinical leaders is required, and experience providing or leading Clinical care is preferred. The Executive Director must also rely on technology partners such as AdventHealth IT Corporate Analytics and Infrastructure departments, as well as external vendors and suppliers. This leader works directly with senior leaders of AdventHealth Clinical, Population Health, Supply Chain, Physician Enterprise, Consumer, Post-Acute; as well as Chief Medical Officers, Chief Nursing Officers and other key leaders in AdventHealth markets.
