SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Responsible for performing a variety of standardized imaging procedures, for setting up and adjusting related equipment and devices, and for maintaining related records under the direction of the Senior Imaging Staff.
Performs standardized imaging procedures ensuring accurate imaging as per defined protocols or under the direction of the radiologist/physician
Ensures proper operation of the equipment safely while maintaining regulatory standards during all procedures
Performs patient imaging by interacting with the patient using professionalism, courtesy, and safety guidelines
Maintains the area, supplies, and equipment in a neat, orderly, and prepared manner; performs room and equipment disinfection procedures
Responsible for daily equipment calibration; reports equipment malfunctions and the need for adjustments and/or repair of equipment
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Radiography Program or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board Program (NMTCB)(CT)
ARRT Radiography Program Graduate:
Must pass the radiography ARRT registry within 6 months of employment
Must pass the CT ARRT registry within 2 years of employment.
NMTCB Program Graduate:
Must pass NMTCB(CT) registry within 6 months of employment
CT experience preferred.
