The IT Asset Manager will be responsible for implementing, configuring, and maintaining all Service Now IT Asset Management (ITAM) processes, work instructions and activities for both hardware and software assets. This will be done in compliance with Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) v3 framework. Responsible for designing and documenting process, and procedures as well as methodologies as it relates to end to end lifecycle hardware and software asset management. . Responsibilities include controlling inventory that is purchased and used, developing and implementing processes to reduce the cost of purchasing and managing assets, managing the asset life cycle from planning to disposal, maintaining compliance with relevant standards and regulations, improving IT service to end users, and assist in developing policies.
Responsible for the overall management of the IT Hardware assets and Software portfolio.
Implements best practices to support IT Asset Management and its relationship to the Configuration Management Data Base to ensure data reliability, durability, and availability.
Define, maintain, update policies and procedures for effective asset life cycle management (acquisition, deployment, utilization, disposition, reallocation, disposal) of IT assets while maintaining compliance with relevant standards/regulations and improving IT services to end users.
Design and implement measures, metrics, and reporting to support company asset management objectives and maintain data continuity, including Asset Models.
Collaborate with others to monitor and analyze data and processes, develop strategic and tactical solutions, resolve challenges and develop mitigation and contingency plans.
Tracking and governing compliance on processes.
Integrates with the ITSM System team, Change Management, Procurement, Stockroom owners, Compliance and other roles required to ensure alignment with ITIL v3 framework in developing processes and solutions to meet business needs.
Responsible for the physical, technological, contractual, and financial aspects of information technology assets.
Controlling of inventory that is purchased and used to reduce unnecessary purchase costs.
Management of Asset Analyst activities.

ServiceNow, ITIL and IT Asset Management experience preferred
