Oversees and coordinates all clerical duties required for an efficient operation of the Health Information Management department at Marworth. Provides training, performs quality assurance activities, and serves as a technical resource for the department.
Leads clerical staff duties to ensure that all daily clerical functions are covered and completed in a timely manner.
Provides input to management for the establishment of goals and objectives for the Health Information Management department.
Screens and approves leisure requests when no conflict and makes recommendations to overseeing management.
Prepares and provides training to staff and new hires.
Manages and performs all activities assigned to Health Information Management department.
Maintains the necessary statistical and monthly reports.
Assists and supports staff in maintaining the security and confidence of the medical record at all times.
Maintains a forms control and sufficient inventories.
Responsible for completion of all 90-day questionnaires.
Responsible for compiling and providing reports on statistical data for 90-day questionnaires.
Responsible for maintaining transcription system.
Responsible for compiling discharge summary and integrated summary audit.
