Position Summary: The Emergency Services Technician-Lab is a member of a multidisciplinary healthcare team working within an Emergency Services environment responsible for providing appropriate care that enhances comfort and wellbeing of patient and the Family. The incumbent provides service deliver care and services to patients from diverse ethnic and social groups in variable clinical conditions that are delegated and supervised by RN staff in concordance with patient care orders, patient needs and unit responsibilities; performs waived and moderately complex point of care testing and associated quality activities outlined in protocol and procedures; obtains blood samples from patients, transport samples and other potentially bio-hazardous specimen for point of care.
Minimum Requirements: Previous experience as a CNA, NA-R, corpsman, EMT, or phlebotomist in an emergency department, pre-hospital, or acute care setting within the last three years Experience with phlebotomy and initiation of EKG, Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist Certification preferred
Education/Licenses/Certifications: High school diploma or equivalent preferred Current Washington state certification/licensure as a MA-P and ability to obtain a NA-R within 90 days of placement in position. Current BLS Certification
