This position is located within the Pathology & Laboratory Medicine Service (P&LMS) at the VA Texas Valley Coastal bend Health Care System, Harlingen VA Clinic, Laredo, TX. The purpose of the position is to provide phlebotomy and technical support to the medical technologists and physicians directly and indirectly utilizing services of the clinical laboratories and perform ancillary testing and technical duties. This position includes a Selective Placement Factor (skill, knowledge, ability or other worker characteristic basic to - and essential for - satisfactory performance of the job).
