Under the oversight of the administrative Laboratory Services Program Director in conjunction with the MD Laboratory Director, the Clinical Laboratory Operations Manager has the overall responsibility for the planning, coordination, evaluation, and supervision of all technical and operational activities of the laboratory for multiple lab locations performing moderate to high complexity testing.
Experience
Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills
Preparation and analysis of quarterly and monthly reports
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to deliver organized and concise presentations tailored to the audience.
Excellent time management skills- ability to work independently and prioritize tasks to manage lab operations at multiple sites efficiently
Ability to implement change in a positive, sensitive, and forward-thinking manner
Develops and monitors processes to ensure that the department’s performance is consistent with the organization’s metrics-based management performance system
Assists with the development, review, and reporting of quality monitors for all laboratory sections and reports to the appropriate management groups under the direction of the Laboratory Medical Director and the Executive Director
Provides oversight for a quality control program in compliance with applicable regulatory standards.
The Manager will also take oversight of administrative aspects of this department, spearheading budget development, staffing, and financial oversight
Education:
Bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical, or biological science or medical technology from an accredited institution. Must meet qualifications established by CLIA for Technical Supervisor in CFR Subpart M §493.1449
Experience:
Minimum 10 years of laboratory training or experience, or both, in high complexity testing for the specialty of chemistry, diagnostic immunology, and hematology. 3 years as a supervisor in a clinical laboratory setting
