This position is assigned to the Pathology & Laboratory Service at the Atlanta VA Health Care System located in Decatur, Georgia. The incumbent has full supervisory responsibility for a large staff of nonsupervisory personnel on the night shift. The incumbent is responsible for managing and supervising the full range of laboratory service operations including planning & assignment of work; performance evaluations; selection of staff, awards advancements and when necessary, disciplinary action.
