Medical Laboratory Assistant performs a variety of specimen processing and clerical tasks for the laboratory service in support of the Upper Tanana Health Center and Tanana Chiefs Conference Rural Health Program. Incumbent will perform patient intake for lab services, perform phlebotomy services for the laboratory and nursing staff, process specimens for testing and/or referral to the appropriate reference laboratory, and perform testing offered on the UTHC Laboratory testing menu under supervision of the Lead Travel Clinical Laboratory Scientist and Laboratory Director. Incumbent will maintain, operate, and troubleshoot analytical equipment, perform quality control, and appropriately address issues.
