Associate Director for Anatomic Pathology – Peconic Bay Medical Center
The Northwell Health Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine seeks a Board Certified/Board Eligible MD or MD PhD Physician to join our team as Associate Director for Anatomic Pathology. Candidates must be board certified, have an established expertise in Anatomic Pathology, and must possess or be eligible to obtain New York State Certificates of Qualification for Medical Directorship.
Highlights include:
Establish coverage and diagnostic excellence in surgical pathology and cytologic on-site evaluation
Serve as the liaison with the Northwell Health Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine and Laboratory Service Line.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements of CAP, State of New York Department of Health, and other regulatory agencies.
Provide leadership with respect to patient safety and quality, Anatomic Pathology laboratory test utilization, and operational performance of the Anatomic Pathology laboratories.
Founded in 1951 as Central Suffolk Hospital, Peconic Bay Medical Center is the largest hospital in Eastern Suffolk County and serves as the Eastern Hub of the Northwell Health System.
