The Medical Technician positions are located in the Central Phlebotomy and Processing Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Service, in the North Florida/South Georgia Healthcare System located in Gainesville, FL. The positions are responsible for collecting, accessioning, and specimen processing of samples. These complex duties include reference laboratory specimen processing, clerical functions, patient education, and outpatient and inpatient phlebotomy as necessary.
