The New Mexico VA Healthcare System (NMVAHCS) Nursing Service, is seeking a Health Technician. The primary purpose of the position is to provide medical, and administrative support assistance to the Inpatient units at the NMVAHCS. Typical duties include but are not limited to: Operates and maintains commonly used electrocardiographic (ECG) equipment including 12 lead ECG and accessories. Performing technical and administrative tasks such as, ABls, bladder ultrasounds, Pulmonary Function Tests (PFTs), venipuncture and phlebotomy, wound care, ear irrigation, monofilament foot exam, Assisting Veterans with scheduling appointments, Retrieves data from files at the request of physicians to include films from radiology. Entering consult requests within nursing for specialty services and coordin
