Nuclear Medicine Technologist
The Nuclear Medicine Technologist is responsible for technical work involving the application of radionuclides to various designated portions of the body to assist physicians in the detection, diagnosis and treatment of diseases and abnormalities. Work involves the proper positioning of patients, the maintenance and adjustment of nuclear equipment, and the maintenance of quality assurance data for a prescribed period. RESPONSIBILITIES: Properly screens patients prior to administration of radionuclides (i.e., current medications, allergic history, etc.).Positions and instructs patients in preparation for the application of radionuclides using specialized equipment and procedures.Inserts IV's for injections.Operates e
